A delicious low-carb alternative to traditional lasagna, this dip combines savory ground meat with cheesy goodness for a crowd-pleasing appetizer or meal.

Ingredients

Main

  • 1 Pound Ground Beef (or Turkey)
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Cups Crushed Tomatoes (No Salt Added)
  • 4 Tablespoon Tomato Paste (No Salt Added)
  • 1.5 Teaspoons Minced Garlic
  • 0.25 Cup Red Onion
  • 1.5 Cups Cottage Cheese (or Ricotta (Fat Free))
  • 1.5 Cups Mozzarella Cheese (Reduced Fat)

Instructions 

  • Brown the ground beef or turkey in a large stovetop pan.
  • Add remaining ingredients (except cheeses) and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Spread cottage cheese in a baking dish, pour meat mixture on top, then sprinkle with mozzarella.
  • Bake at 350°F (176°C) for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

Use lean ground meat for even healthier options.
