Delight in these rich and buttery maple pecan bars, perfect for a sweet treat or dessert.

Ingredients

For the Crust

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

For the Filling

  • 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch pan.
  • Mix flour, sugar, and salt; cut in butter until coarse crumbs. Press into pan and bake 15-18 mins.
  • Combine maple syrup, brown sugar, cream, butter, and salt; boil 1 min. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and pecans.
  • Pour filling over crust; bake 18-20 mins until bubbly. Cool completely, then refrigerate 2 hours before cutting.

Notes

Chill the bars thoroughly for best texture before serving.
