Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds chicken breast (sliced into thin strips)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (minced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (for thickening)
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Mix chicken with cornstarch and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and cook chicken until browned.
  • Add ginger, garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, and water; simmer.
  • Thicken sauce with cornstarch mixture and cook until glossy.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
