A hearty and simple one-pan dish combining tender beef, sliced potatoes, and flavorful seasonings, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Meat
1lbground beef or thinly sliced beef strips
Vegetables
4large potatoespotatoes, peeled and sliced into thin rounds
1largeonion, chopped
3clovesgarlic, minced
Liquids
1cupbeef broth or stock
Oils & Spices
2tablespoonsolive oil
1teaspoonpaprika
1teaspoondried thyme or rosemary
Seasonings
to tasteSalt and black pepper

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Sauté onion and garlic in 1 tbsp olive oil until fragrant. Add beef, season, cook until browned. Transfer to a plate.
In the same skillet, layer sliced potatoes, season, then spread beef mixture over them. Pour beef broth over layers.
Cover tightly and bake for 45-50 minutes until potatoes are tender. Remove cover, add cheese if desired, and bake uncovered for 10 minutes until melted. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or your favorite herbs.
