A flavorful one-pan dish combining tender chicken thighs, fragrant garlic, sweet honey, and fluffy rice for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup white rice (uncooked)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • to taste salt salt

  • 3 slices lemon (optional, for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil until golden, then set aside.
  • In the same pan, cook garlic and butter until fragrant. Add honey and soy sauce, then stir.
  • Add rice, coat with sauce, pour in chicken broth, then nestle chicken back in. Cover and simmer 18–22 minutes.
  • Uncover, fluff rice, sprinkle with parsley, garnish with lemon slices, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon before serving.
