Ginger Molasses Maple Syrup or regular maple syrup
Instructions
Line an 8x9-inch pan with foil, spray with cooking spray, and arrange bread slices in 3 overlapping rows.
Melt butter, then whisk in eggs, milk, maple syrup, molasses, and spices.
Pour mixture over bread, cover, and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
Before baking, re-distribute any pooled liquid, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-35 minutes until set.
Optional: dust with confectioners’ sugar and serve with syrup or toppings.
Notes
Ensure bread is slightly stale for best absorption, and adjust spices to taste.
