Peach Filling

peaches
(about 1.4 pounds)

light brown sugar

ground cinnamon

vanilla extract

corn starch

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch square pan and line with parchment.
Melt butter over medium-low heat until browned, then cool slightly.
Slice peaches into 8 segments, then into half-inch pieces. Mix with sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, corn starch, and salt.
Combine flour, sugars, baking powder, and salt. Add browned butter and mix into crumbly dough.
Press half of the crumble into the pan, spread peach filling over it, then top with remaining crumble.
Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden and bubbling. Cool, chill, then cut into 16 bars.
Notes
Chill the bars for best texture before serving.
