Delicious homemade granola bars packed with oats, peanut butter, and optional add-ins for a healthy snack.
Ingredients
Dry ingredients
3
cups
old-fashioned rolled oats
(use verified gluten-free, if needed)
1/3
cup
honey or maple syrup
(both work well and taste great but honey helps hold the bars together better)
1/2
cup
mini chocolate chips
(optional)
2
whole
eggs
(use flax egg for vegan-friendly)
Optional add-ins
pinch
salt
(omit if peanut butter is salted)
as desired
walnuts, pecans, almonds, chia, sunflower, or pumpkin seeds, or dried fruit
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350℉ (175℃).
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl; heat peanut butter if solid.
Line a 9x9 inch (23x23 cm) pan with parchment paper and press mixture firmly into it.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and press them in; bake for 15-17 minutes.
Cool completely before cutting into 16 bars.
