Ingredients

Fruits and Spices

  • 4 medium pears (peeled and diced)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 4 whole eggs (at room temperature)
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup whole milk (at room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Brown Sugar and Butter

  • 1 ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (at room temperature)

Caramel Sauce

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease the bundt pan.
  • Mix diced pears with sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  • Combine dry ingredients; set aside. Beat eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients gradually.
  • Layer batter and pear mixture in the pan, ending with batter. Bake for 80 minutes.
  • Make caramel sauce by melting sugar and butter, then adding cream and vanilla. Cool slightly.
  • Invert cake, drizzle with caramel, and serve.
