Delicious soft pretzel bites perfect for snacking or parties. Easy to make at home with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • cup baking soda (for boiling water)
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)

Toppings

  • Coarse salt for topping
  • Optional: melted butter for brushing

Instructions 

  • Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit until foamy. Add salt, flour, and butter; knead into smooth dough.
  • Let dough rest in a warm place until doubled in size.
  • Shape dough into ropes, cut into bite-sized pieces, then boil in water with baking soda for 20–30 seconds.
  • Remove bites, drain, brush with egg wash, sprinkle with coarse salt, and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush with melted butter after baking.
