  • Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil; stir until a soft dough forms.
  • Shape dough into a loaf and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Let rest 5 minutes while preheating oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Brush with olive oil or butter; bake 15 minutes until golden.
  • Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes
