A delicious homemade granola combining sweet caramel, cinnamon, and fresh apple pieces for a crunchy, flavorful treat.

Ingredients

Sauce

  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1 tsp salt

Granola

  • 3.5 cups rolled oats
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 medium apple (peeled and sliced)

Instructions 

  • Combine maple syrup and ghee in a saucepan over medium heat; whisk until melted and boiling, then simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Peel and slice apple into small pieces.
  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Mix oats, cinnamon, and apple pieces in a bowl.
  • Remove caramel from heat, whisk in salt, then pour over oats and apples; mix thoroughly.
  • Spread mixture on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes. Cool before crumbling.

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
