A flavorful and easy-to-make orange chicken recipe cooked in a slow cooker, perfect for a comforting meal with a tangy twist.

Chicken Breast (or Thighs)
Sauce Base

Cup
Orange Juice (Lower Sugar)

Soy Sauce (Low Sodium)

Brown Rice Syrup (or Honey)

Teaspoons
Minced Garlic

Rice Vinegar

Ground Ginger

Crushed Red Pepper

Corn Starch
(More or less depending on how thick you want your sauce)

Water (Cold to mix Corn Starch)
Instructions
Mix all ingredients except Oil, Chicken, Corn Starch, and Water in a bowl.
Add Oil to slow cooker and place chicken inside.
Pour sauce mixture over chicken.
Cook on Low for 3-4 hours.
Mix Corn Starch with a little water, then add to slow cooker.
Cook on High for 45 minutes to 1 hour until thickened.
Optional: shred or cut chicken before adding Corn Starch.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more crushed red pepper.
