Ingredients

Dough

  • 0.75 cup butter, (softened)
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar, (lightly packed)
  • 0.25 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 4 large eggs, (room temperature)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon confectioner’s sugar, (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare bundt pan with spray and flour.
  • Beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in molasses, vanilla, and spices.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in milk. Combine with dry ingredients and pour into pan.
  • Bake for 60 minutes, cool for 30 minutes, then invert onto rack.
  • Dust with confectioner's sugar before serving.

Notes

Ensure the cake is fully cooled before dusting with sugar to prevent melting.
