A flavorful and quick stir-fry combining spicy ground beef with fresh vegetables served over steamed rice.

Ingredients

Meat and Vegetables

  • 0.5 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 0.5 red bell pepper sliced into strips
  • 0.5 zucchini sliced
  • 0.5 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup steamed white rice

Instructions 

  • Cook ground beef until browned; set aside.
  • In a skillet, sauté minced garlic in sesame oil for 30 seconds.
  • Add beef, soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar; simmer 3-4 minutes.
  • Sauté garlic in olive oil, then add mushrooms and cook 2 minutes.
  • Stir-fry broccoli, zucchini, and bell pepper 4-5 minutes; add soy sauce.
  • Serve beef and vegetables over steamed rice; spoon extra sauce if desired.

Notes

Adjust chili flakes for desired spice level.
