Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)

Grains

  • 2 cups cooked rice (day-old preferred)

Sauces & Condiments

  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

Aromatics

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

Thickening & Garnish

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (for coating)
  • 2 tbsp water (for slurry)

Garnish

  • 2 tbsp green onions (chopped)

Cooking Oil

  • 2 tbsp oil for frying

Instructions 

  • Toss chicken in cornstarch and a pinch of salt, then fry until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic in the same pan until fragrant, then add honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.
  • Return chicken to the pan, toss with sauce until sticky and glazed.
  • Add cooked rice and stir-fry to absorb flavors. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Use day-old rice for best texture and flavor.
