Enjoy a quick and flavorful Asian-inspired dish with tender ground beef and crisp vegetables coated in savory teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup bell pepper (julienned (any colour))
  • 1 cup cabbage (julienned (I used both green and purple))
  • 1 cup carrots (julienned)
  • ½ cup onion (julienned)
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or use my homemade version)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp chili crisp (optional, highly recommended)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • ¼ cup water or stock - if too dry

For serving

  • as needed cooked rice

Optional garnishes

  • as needed sesame seeds and green onions

Instructions 

  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet, cook ground beef until crispy and fully cooked, about 5–6 minutes.
  • Add garlic and onions, sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add bell pepper, carrots, and cabbage; sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
  • Pour in teriyaki sauce, chili crisp, honey, and sesame oil; simmer for 2–3 minutes, adding water if too dry.
  • Serve over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chili oil or more chili crisp as desired.
